How are you going to make your audience interested in the story you are telling? why should they care?
i will show them a certain angle on the issue, for example from the spine report i would use medical facts to grasp readers attention. I would show an x ray scan and highlight the main points where her ailment lies then use a transitional clip of her sitting down drinking something with her brother. ^_^
show statistical data to demonstrate prevalance in a certain population. Also, i would try to tell the audience how she got to where she is now. What happened, was it genetic? accidental? etc.
i believe then we can truly catch the viewers attention.
