-- Interesting personalities
-- Illustrate what skills the players get out of it (social, physical, mental)
-- Demonstrate the validity of the hobby in general (professional gamers in Korea; Ken landing a Survivor deal, Major League Gaming, etc.)
-- Highlight the community
The lead is vital here -- we have to hook the audience immediately. Photographs also help since the game is visually appealing. If it's well made, we can make the audience interested.
